OTHER PROJECTS

01
Photography 115
For my photography class, I created an immersive scene featuring a subject in an invented environment. We were assigned to create an abstraction of a representational object. Playing with light, camera settings, and the reflection of a spoon I was able to create this exciting composition I was very excited about.

Printmaking 253
This Project was inspired between the border between reality, and technology. It shows the border between the two sides, of life with and without the digital world, along with the birder between the two and our depoendancy on it.

Photography 115
As a part of my final project, we were tasked to abstract a representational object. I chose a spoon and started experimenting with its form, background and composition to abstract it in a way that completely distorts our understanding of spoons. It took me over 15,000 photos of trial and error to achieve my goal.
04
Drawing 251
This piece was inspired by replicating street art. Through bright colors and recurring figures or tags likely seen on walls, I created this work inspired by New York City. Using watercolor, paint pens, graphite, and Copic markers, I challenged myself to make a cohesive compositions using many different materials. This allowed me to have a mix of marks and textures that blended very well together.

05
Sculpture 288
Using a combination of plaster and wood, I created a sculpture that plays with the contrast between classical and contemporary styles. My aim was to reproduce the elegance of classical sculptures, with the sculpted drapery and the pose of the body. To create a contrast, I incorporated abstract geometric elements in the wood, which helped represent contemporary styles. The empty body allowed for the viewer to interpret significant meaning through an abstract lense.
06
Sculpture 350
An abstracted representation of a human form. Using plaster and welded steel, I was able achieve this organic from contrasted by this geometric steel furthur representing the biology of the human form.

07
Printmaking 215
This visual represents the roots of my identity. We were required to create a self portrait. I wanted to represent my ientity through my upbringing in Portland oregon, showing the strength of my family and the roots of where I am from.
08
Screenprinting
Using hand drawn screen printing techniques by burning screens with ink on wax paper, I was able to achieve a painterly effect through the use of the industrial technique of screen printing.
